9. Second Opinion Design Review Services
Second Opinion Design Review Services are advisory services based on the plans, drawings, photographs, dimensions and other project information supplied by the client.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the service does not include a site inspection or measure, full redesign, materials or product specification, architectural, engineering or building certification advice, regulatory compliance advice, shop drawings, construction documentation or documentation suitable for manufacture.
The client is responsible for providing accurate, complete and current information and confirms that they have permission to provide all submitted plans, drawings, photographs and other materials.
Interior Blank’s comments and recommendations are based on the information provided. All dimensions, site conditions, structural requirements, building regulations and construction details must be checked and verified by the relevant architect, building designer, engineer, certifier, builder, cabinetmaker or other appropriately qualified professional before construction, manufacture, ordering or installation.
Payment and commencement
Full payment is required before the review commences.
The review timeframe begins once Interior Blank has received full payment, the completed project questionnaire and all plans, drawings and other information reasonably required to complete the review.
Interior Blank is not responsible for delays caused by incomplete, inaccurate or late information supplied by the client.
Delivery timeframe
Unless otherwise stated on the relevant service page or at the time of purchase, the review will be delivered within 10 business days after full payment and all required project information have been received.
If Interior Blank is closed or unavailable, including during scheduled leave or holiday periods, a revised delivery timeframe will be clearly disclosed before the client completes their purchase.
Service inclusions
The review will include the deliverables described on the relevant service page at the time of purchase.
One round of reasonable clarifying questions by email is included. This is intended to clarify the advice already provided and does not include revisions, additional design work or review of new or amended plans.
Unless otherwise stated, each review is limited to the kitchen, joinery area or nominated floor level included in the selected service. Additional rooms, kitchens, joinery areas, floor levels, revisions or redesign work may require an additional service and fee.
Cancellations and refunds
If the client cancels before work has commenced, Interior Blank may provide a refund less any reasonable costs already incurred, including payment processing or administrative costs where permitted by law.
Once work has commenced, fees are not refundable for change of mind.
If the client does not provide the required project information within a reasonable period, Interior Blank may place the review on hold or cancel the booking. Any refund will be considered based on the amount of work already completed and costs incurred.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available to the client that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Intellectual property
Interior Blank retains copyright and ownership of the recorded review, written summary, marked-up plans and any other materials created as part of the service.
The client may use and share these materials with their architect, building designer, builder, cabinetmaker and other project consultants for the client’s nominated project.
The materials must not be reproduced, published, sold, distributed, used for another project or used for commercial purposes without Interior Blank’s prior written permission.
